The TVS Apache RTR 220 is an new upcoming bike from the Indian brand and the design is based on the TVS Draken concept and the engine will be borrowed from the Zepplin 220 cruiser concept. Well the TVS and Bajaj are closest rivals and Apache 220 can be their one way of making an even intense rivalry. 

TVS every year works on all new concepts.so, it is certain that Zeppelin will launch before the entry of Apache 220 in India. It seems like TVS are leaving slots empty for cruisers of future generation as Bajaj Also retails 220cc and 180cc cruisers in India. Still, it won't take much cost to them even if they bring two products on a single platform.

Design & Styling: 

The design of the Apache 220 is mainly based on the RTR 200. It will carry the same naked streetfighter like design with some minor changes in the new version . The new version will carry a stylish LED headlamp with DRL’s, sporty dual-barrel muffler and sharp tank layout. Overall the TVS Apache RTR 220 will have an aggressive and stylish design.

Engine & Performance: 

The TVS Apache 220 is powered with a 220cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected engine. Its power output range differs from 24-26 HP and its torque output range differs fry 21-23 Nm. The Apache 220 has a 6-speed gearbox and thus, it has much better top-end performance than its younger sibling the Apache RTR 200.

Frame, Suspension, & Brakes: 

This bike will be based on the same double cradle split synchro chassis used in other bikes from the TVS Apache series. The suspension setup consist of telescopic front forks and a hydraulic rear mono-shock in the bike . TVS Apache RTR 220 will use disc brakes at both the wheels ,It will be well equipped with dual-channel ABS with RLP control.

Wheels, Tyres & Other Features: 

The wheels of the TVS Apache 220 will come with alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. TVS Apache 220 might also give it wider front and rear tyres in the bike. The instrument console of the bike will be a fully digital unit with mobile app connectivity. The TVS Apache 220 will come with segment-first features like ride modes, adjustable brake and clutch levers, race telemetry and in-built navigation in the bike.

TVS Apache 220 Price in India & Launch Date

For now there is no official news from the brand about the launch of the bike in the Indian market .It is assumed that TVS Apache 220 will be launched in India only if TVS brings the Zepplin 220 in the Indian market. The price of the bike could be between Rs 1.45 lakhs to Rs 1.6 Lakhs.This bike would be a competition with the Pulsar NS 200 and the KTM Duke 200 in this price range. If the price of the bike is set properly then it could attract the buyers looking for a performance-oriented entry-level streetfighter.
